A group of investors and an unnamed private equity firm have agreed to buy Dana College in Blair. The investors and college officials said Wednesday they don't plan big staff or program changes at Dana, which was founded by Danes and has ties to the Evangelical Lutheran Church. Dana's fundraising office will close as it loses its nonprofit status. The college has experienced financial problems for several years. Terms of the sale, which is expected to close this summer, were not disclosed. The investors plan to double Dana's 500-student enrollment through aggressive marketing and expanded study-abroad programs. Dana spokeswoman Nikki Kinsey says a foundation will be created to maintain the college's Danish heritage and Lutheran church ties.
