Former Lincoln Southeast star Josh Scheffert hit his first home run as a Husker yesterday, as Nebraska swept a five game homestand to beat South Dakota State 12-6 at Haymarket Park. Scheffert hit the three-run blast in the first inning. Lincoln Southwest grad Sean Yost picked up his second win of the season for the Big Red, allowing five hits and striking out two batters through four and a third innings. Nebraska gears up for a weekend road trip against Texas down in Austin starting Friday night.
