Police Focus On Investigating Indecent Exposure Cases Near Downtown

LINCOLN -- A section of the Near South neighborhood is being closely watched by police, as they look for a man that's believed to be involved with at least nine indecent exposure cases that have been reported since April.  These incidents have happened in an area between 14th and 24th, "A" to "J" Streets, with the latest case happening last Saturday morning (June 28).  A man got inside an apartment near 23rd and "E" and touched a 15-year-old girl as she slept in her room.  Officer Katie Flood says there is concern that these cases are continuing to escalate and it's hard to say what path this suspect may take next.  Flood says they are looking for who they describe as a black male, in his late 20s to early 30s, about 5-7 to 6-feet tall with a small to medium build.  To protect yourself, Officer Flood says make sure your doors are locked and windows are secure at all times.   Most of the indecent exposure cases have happened late at night or early in the morning.
