ConAgra Lost $3.2 Million in Fiscal Fourth Quarter
(6-26-14) ConAgra Foods says it lost $324.2 million in its fiscal fourth quarter because of restructuring and impairment charges. The Omaha-based company said Thursday that its loss of 77 cents per share this year was down from last year's profit of $192.2 million, or 45 cents per share. ConAgra makes Health Choice, Marie Callender's, Orville Redenbacher, Chef Boyardee and other branded foods. It is also one of the largest manufacturers of private label foods. ConAgra CEO Gary Rodkin says he expects earnings per share to grow in the mid-single digits in fiscal 2015, and that growth should accelerate in subsequent years.
