Burglary at Northeast Lincoln Restaurant
LINCOLN -- A burglary early this morning at a Bethany restaurant, where the burglar is caught on security video finally shattering the front glass door on his third attempt with a piece of concrete, but couldn't fit through because the hole wasn't big enough. He then realized the door was unlocked and walked in, and took cash from the register at Cook's Cafe near 66th and Dudley. Police Officer Katie Flood says a cook already working in the kitchen just after 5am Friday heard noises out front, only to see the suspect get away. The suspect is a man, about 6-feet tall and 200 pounds. Some cash was taken from the register and about $100 damage was done to the door.
