District Court Calls Mistrial on Lincoln Man Accused of Murder
(6-19-14) Men and women of the jury couldn't agree on the guilt or innocence of a 22-year-old Lincoln man, Michael Arellano, accused of killing another man, 38-year-old, Shane Newman, in a fight last summer, so the Lancaster County District Court has declared a mistrial. The two got into a fight with another man. Investigators believe Newman punched the other man and that's when Arellano started shooting, hitting two people. Newman was struck and killed by three bullets and a 23-year-old man was wounded by two bullets. Arellano's case has been rescheduled for August 11th.
