High Water Causes River Closures in Douglas County

(6-19-14) High water in the Platte and Elkhorn rivers has forced officials to close access sites in Douglas County.  The Papio-Missouri River Natural Resources District says the high water creates dangerous boating conditions on the rivers. The access sites will be closed until at least Monday. It will depend on the rivers returning to near-normal conditions.
