Revelle, Six Softball Players Receive Big Ten Honors



LINCOLN -- Nebraska head softball coach Rhonda Revelle has added another conference honor...Big Ten Coach of the Year.  Revelle has won top coaching honors now in the Big 8, Big 12 and now the Big Ten.  Revelle has coached at Nebraska for 22 seasons.  This year, the Huskers finished the regular season by winning 15 of their last 16 games, a surge that saw Nebraska move into first place in the conference on the final day.  Three Husker softball players have earned first-team All-Big Ten honors.  Senior twins, Tatum and Taylor Edwards were named to the first team for the 2nd straight year, while sophomore Hailey Decker was also a 1st-team selection, earning the first All-Big Ten honor of her career.  Sophomores Alicia Armstrong and Emily Lockman were named all-conference for the 2nd straight year, while freshman MJ Knighten also earned a spot on the second team.  Nebraska’s six honorees ranked second in the conference.
