Special Needs Transportation Service to End May 18
A Lincoln company providing transportation to people with special needs, including visual impairment, is going out of business. Transport Plus lost a bid to a Star Tran company, Servant Cab. Mayor Beutler's Chief of Staff, Rick Hoppe, tells our television partner, 10/11 NEWS, that Servant Cab's bid was $120,000 less than Transport Plus's bid. Transport Plus owner, Vicki Harding, says doors will close May 18th, the last day for 16 full-time employees. The company employs 16 full time staffers, including van drivers.
