BIRMINGHAM, Ala. -- The Nebraska Womens Gymnastics team saw four individuals at the NCAA Event Finals Sunday afternoon bringing the 2014 Nebraska women’s gymnastics season to a close. The seniors highlighted the day; Jamie Schleppenbach tied for third-place on beam while Emily Wong finished eighth on floor and sixth in the all-around. Junior Jessie DeZiel came in eighth on beam. DeZiel is now a two-time All-American on beam after capturing second-team honors last season. Sophomore Hollie Blanske competed in her first NCAA event final championships with grace. On beam, Blanske finished her career 10th in the nation on beam. Blanske picked up first-team All-America honors on the event. As a team, the Huskers finished sixth. Florida and Oklahoma took home a share of the national title.
