(4-4-14) The search has intensified this morning for a fugitive known to be in the area. Wednesday afternoon, Jason Robert Jackson was spotted near 140th and O Street. Lancaster County Sheriff's deputies say 33-year-old, Jeremy Simons, was approached by Jackson at Stevens Creek Storage. Simons told deputies Jackson threatened him with a gun and fired one shot. Deputies say Jackson and Simons knew each other, but had not planned the meeting. US Marshals Metro Fugitive Task Force (MFTF) is offering up to $1,000 for information leading to the arrest of Jackson, who's wanted on a federal warrant for conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine. Jackson has an extensive criminal history and should be considered armed and dangerous. He has brown hair and brown eyes, stands 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighs approximately 156 pounds.
