Bill to Give Neb. Electoral Votes to Popular Candidate is Dead
A bill giving Nebraska's electoral votes to the national popular-vote winner is dead for the legislative year. O'Neill Senator, Tyson Larson, has asked that his bill be removed from the agenda because there isn't time left in the session, and there are other important issues left to be addressed. Governor Heineman and Secretary of State Gale criticized the proposal this week, saying it would weaken Nebraska's voice in national elections.
