Husker Bats Come Alive, Beat Shockers 7-3

The Nebraska baseball team may have had their best hitting performance yet of the season, by connecting on 17 hits in a 7-3 win over Wichita State in Wichita last night (Tuesday).  Nebraska’s 2-through-7 hitters each had at least two hits and went a combined 15-for-26 with all six of NU’s RBIs.  Nebraska improved to 14-9 on the year with the win, while junior Kyle Kubat picked up his first win of the year in six and two-thirds strong innings and Zach Hirsch earned his second save with two-and-a-third innings of scoreless relief.  The Cornhuskers are back in action tonight at 6:30 against Kansas State in Manhattan, which you can see on Fox Sports Kansas City.
