Two giant Nebraska agricultural businesses announced today that they plan to merge. United Farmers Co-operative, headquartered in York, and Central Valley Ag, currently located in O'Neill, plan to unite their operations over the summer. The York cooperative has 32 locations in southeast Nebraska and Northeastern Kansas. The O'Neill cooperative has 34 locations in 27 counties. The combined sales of the two in the latest fiscal year totaled $1.4 Billion. The merged company will be the state's largest farm cooperative, edging out the $1.1 Billion Aurora Cooperative.
