Holder: Same-Sex Marriage Protected In U.S. Courthouses

WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Starting Monday, same-sex marriages get full recognition and protection in Nebraska.  United States Attorney General Eric Holder's is handing out a memo to his employees informing them that same-sex marriage is now protected in every federal courthouse and proceeding where Justice Department employees stand...even though Nebraska's State Constitution bans same-sex marriage.  Holder's ruling is based off of the Supreme Court's decision last June that cleared the way for legally married-same sex couples to receive federal benefits.
