LINCOLN -- A former state golf champion is a member of the Nebraska women's golf team. 2012 Nebraska Class A state girls golf champion Sarah Pravecek transferred to Nebraska for the spring semester, after competing at Nebraska-Omaha during the fall semester of 2013. Pravecek was granted a one-time transfer waiver and will be immediately eligible for the Huskers in the spring semester of 2014. Pravecek was one of the top high school golfers in the state of Nebraska, leading Omaha Marian to a pair of state championships in 2009 and 2010, before claiming an individual state title as a senior in 2012. Her uncle, Gregg Barrios, was a starting place-kicker for the Nebraska football team, lettering for NU in 1986-88-89-90.
