Drivers Warned About Harsh Weather

When weather conditions turn bad on Lincoln streets, make sure you use your defensive driving skills.  On the KFOR Morning Show Thursday, Public Safety Director Tom Casady said you need to allow yourself extra time getting somewhere, especially during the evening rush, when rain could change over to snow.  Casady says avoid taking a route that has a lot of hills, be careful going through intersections and allow yourself extra space between you and other vehicles.  He says allow yourself about two seconds between you and the other vehicle ahead of you.  Casady says always use caution going through intersections.
