ASHLAND, Neb. -- The run through the post season is over for the Lincoln Christian football team. The Crusaders could not overcome a second half comeback by Ashland-Greenwood and fell to the Bluejays 33-13 Tuesday night at Memorial Stadium in Ashland. Christian struck first, though, in the first quarter, with this 76-yard touchdown run from quarterback Logan Power on the third play in their opening drive. But Ashland-Greenwood bounced back on a 14-yard touchdown pass from Gunnar Garner to Tyler Craven on their next drive to trim the Christian lead to 7-6. But the Crusaders extended their lead to 13-6 with three-and-a-half minutes left in the first half, as Power found Leighton Chicoine on a 10-yard touchdown pass. A momentum shift in the second half for Ashland-Greenwood helped the Bluejays capitalize on Christian turnovers and sealed the deal. The Bluejays, now 10-1, face Columbus Lakeview next Tuesday night in the C1 Semifinals. Christian ends their season at 9-2.
