Piedmont Shops To Undergo Renovation

LINCOLN -- A $5 to $6-million renovation is planned for the Piedmont Shopping Center in south Lincoln.  Renovations include repaving the sidewalks and parking lot, new awnings, small gardens, and antique lights around the parking lot to bring back memories of when the shops first opened in the 1950's.  Crews won't tear down the original building along South Cotner Boulevard, instead they will renovate the outside to give it the new look.  Owner Steve Glenn hopes the project is done midway through next year.
