LINCOLN -- There has definitely been growth in Lincoln, but what will it take to attract that growth to other parts of the state? That is what Nebraska officials are going to be studying. The Nebraska Departments of Labor and Economic Development will conduct the study on the workforce in the northeastern part of the state, and parts of Iowa and South Dakota in late October and early November. The effort will identify the skills of local workers and other key economic factors. The study will focus on Nebraska towns: Columbus, Fremont, Norfolk, South Sioux City, Wayne, and West Point. The findings of the study will be released next spring.
