Shooting, Robberies, Stabbing Keep LPD Busy On Halloween

LINCOLN -- A lot going on Halloween night for Lincoln Police.  First...Dirt Cheap at 27th and Randolph was robbed by two men wearing masks.  Security officials chased after them.  At 29th and M, the robbers turned and fired at least two shots at the chasing security.  The shots missed.  Then...a woman answered her door to hand out Halloween candy and was pushed away by a masked man.  The home invasion happened at 300 South 45th just before 8pm Thursday.  Police say a man living here struggled with the robber and was stabbed at least four times.  He's in serious but stable condition at a Lincoln hospital.  Then, the Family Dollar at 2541 North 11th was robbed by a gun-wielding robber.  Wearing a brown Halloween mask, the man grabbed cash and ran away.
