LINCOLN -- A 22-year-old man remains hospitalized after he was injured after a construction crew hit an underground electric line Tuesday morning. Construction crews near Northwest 1st and Technology Dr. were doing some underground boring when they hit the line. They say a 22-year-old man suffered an electric shock, he walked about 100 feet to safety after the shock. Crews determined there was no immediate hazard and treated the man. He was taken to Bryan West Campus. Officials say between 7,000 to 12,000 volts of electricity run through the power line that was hit. LES officials tell KFOR News power was knocked out to at least 2,000 customers in a portion of northwest Lincoln. The outage was restored just before 10am.
