Gordon Helps Royals In Series Victory Over Twins



KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Arial">A huge hitting night for Kansas City Royals outfielder Alex Gordon. The Lincoln Southeast graduate and former Nebraska star hit a solo home run in the fourth and hit his 17th double of the season Wednesday night in the Royals' 5-2 victory over Minnesota. Gordon is now hitting .265 on the season with 11 home runs and 57 RBI. The Royals now begin a four-game home stand with the Boston Red Sox, starting Thursday night. Saturday night is Husker Fan Night, where the first 750 Nebraska fans who bring their Husker Fan discounted ticket will get a red and white Kansas City Royals baseball cap.
