Private Plane Has Emergency Landing

YORK, Neb. -- A rough landing Tuesday morning at the York Airport. A private plane touched down without the benefit of its front landing gear. York Police says the plane from Minneapolis to York developed electronics problems near Omaha, knocking out the radio. As the plane neared the York Airport, the pilot pushed the control lever for the front gear, but the wheels wouldn't drop. Following emergency procedures, the pilot safely landed the plane, damaging the propeller when it stopped nose down. All three people aboard the plane walked off unhurt.
