Solvent Smell Brings Out HazMat Crews To Storage Unit

LINCOLN -- That strong smell of ammonia coming from a storage garage Tuesday morning near 27th and Superior turned out to be cleaning solutions. At R & R Auto Salvage, firefighters found cleaning solutions in a storage shed. Lincoln Fire Battallion Chief Eric Jones said that the Lancaster County Health Department was then called in to make sure that the business was following regulations.  Nothing illegal, but officials will talk with the owner about a better way to store the liquids.
