Authorities are looking for a hit-and-run driver who rear-ended a police officer’s vehicle around 10:30 last night (Thursday) on Cornhusker Highway. Police Officer Katie Flood reports that the 2011 Dodge Charger police cruiser was stopped behind a stalled vehicle with his emergency lights on near the intersection of 35th and Cornhusker when an unknown vehicle struck the cruiser from behind. The officer was sitting in the vehicle waiting for a tow truck to arrive but was not injured. The male driver in the suspected vehicle then backed up and drove away. Police are looking for a passenger vehicle with front end damage, completely missing its headlight housing on one side.
