Two men are in jail related to a disturbance and domestic assault that happened late Sunday night at a home near 130th and Pioneers. 41-year-old Rene' Rodriguez of Lincoln took a woman home and encountered her live in boyfriend, 44-year-old Randall Merryman. Lancaster County Sheriff Terry Wagner says both men got in an argument and Merryman called deputies to report he had been shot at by Rodriguez, who had already left. Rodriguez was later tracked down at his home in the 4500 block of Witherbee and taken to jail. Sheriff Wagner says shortly after the gunshot report, they found out that Merryman had allegedly bitten the woman on the arm, punched and choked her. Merryman was arrested for domestic assault and strangulation.
