Over Five Pounds Of Pot Taken Off I-80 Sunday

A 35-year-old Hampton, Virginia man will spend Christmas in jail here in Nebraska, after he was arrested for having five-and-a-half pounds of marijuana. Lancaster County Sheriff's Sgt. Mike Peschong told KFOR News that Tilford Murray and two other men were heading east on Interstate 80 just east of the Lincoln Airport late Sunday night, when the car they were in was pulled over for a traffic violation. Sgt. Peschong says a search of the vehicle found six clear bags full of pot for a total of five-and-a-half pounds stuffed in a duffel bag belonging to Murray; he was jailed for possession with intent to deliver. The other two men with him were not cited and released.
