The pairings for the Heartland Athletic Conference holiday high school basketball tournaments Dec. 28, 29 and 31, have been announced. The Boys will play at Lincoln Southwest; Lincoln Southeast is the top seed and will meet Grand Island next Friday afternoon. In the other boys pairings, Lincoln High will meet Lincoln North Star, Southwest will meet Northeast and Lincoln East will meet Fremont in the first round. The Girls tournament will be at Lincoln North Star. The Southeast girls are also the #1 seed and will meet North Star in the first round next Friday. In the other first round girls pairings, East meets Fremont, Northeast meets Grand Island and Lincoln High will take on second-seeded Southwest. There are four games each day in the boys and girls divisions, with the championship games set for 3:15 p.m. on New Year's Eve. See the bracket for the complete schedule of games.
