LPD Officers Assaulted During Arrest

2 Lincoln police officers were kicked by a man going to jail for violating a protection order. Capt. Michon Morrow told KFOR NEWS that officers were taking 43-year-old Eddie Key of Lincoln to jail from 23rd and S when he managed to kick one officer in the face, the other in the chest. Key is in jail for felony assault on police and violating a protection order. Capt. Morrow reported that the officers weren't seriously hurt and finished working their shifts.
