Bennet crews were dispatched to a fire in an abandoned house at 10151 Wittstruck Road around 9:00 Wednesday morning. Sheriff Terry Wagner told KFOR News that the house, which had been abandoned for years, sat next to a corncrib that still had electricity going to it. A Syracuse man, who owns the property, suffered a $1,500 loss. No injuries were reported in the blaze.
