The memorial in Hickman for slain Lancaster County Sheriff's Deputy Craig Dodge takes another step toward completion with the sculpting of a statue. Sten Eisentrager is building it in his studio at Yankee Hill Brick on South Coddington. The sculpture depicts Deputy Dodge in his uniform. It will be built at 421 Main Street in Hickman, the site where Dodge was killed on March 14, 1987 responding to a domestic disturbance. A dedication should be ready by the middle of next year.
