Lincoln Police are investigating an early morning robbery at a motel near the 2000 block of Fletcher Avenue. According to Police Officer Katie Flood, a 38-year-old man was assaulted and robbed in a motel room early Monday by two suspects, one an acquaintance of the victim. A female guest apparently let the men into the room before leaving. She was not identified. Flood says that the man familiar with the victim punched him and demanded his belongings. Flood says that assailants allegedly took the victim's necklace, a pocket knife and approximately $160 in cash. The investigation continues.
