A 68-year-old woman is recovering from an accidental shooting at her home early Monday afternoon. Deputies were called to the 700 block of West Waverly Road and found the woman with a wound to her calf. Lancaster County Sheriff Terry Wagner reported that the woman had the .22-caliber pistol in her pocket and sat down when the gun fell out and wounded her. She was taken to Bryan Medical Center West Campus and was treated for non-life threatening injuries. No one else was hurt and foul play is not suspected.
