There have been at least 19 reports of larcenies from vehicles that occurred between Sunday night and Monday morning in northwest Lincoln that are being investigated by police. Officer Katie Flood said that the vehicles were parked in the street and in driveways. Forced entry was made in most of the cases; the perpetrator or perpetrators smashed out the vehicles’ windows. The incidents were reported in an area south and east of 14th and Alvo Road. Various items including iPods, purses, GPS systems, checkbooks, and cash were taken. The total damage amounts are around $3,700, with losses of belongings at more than $2,200.
