Nebraska Lands 3 Players On All-Big Ten Volleyball



LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) - Unanimous pick Gina Mancuso and fellow Nebraska seniors Lauren Cook and Hannah Werth have received All-Big Ten first-team volleyball honors.
Mancuso is 10th in the conference in kills, service aces and points. The native of Omaha, who graduated from Papillion-La Vista High, had per-set averages of 3.43 kills, 0.28 aces and 3.97 points.
Cook, out of Lincoln Pius X, is fourth in the league in set assists with 11.04 per set. She also averages 2.85 digs.
Werth, from Springfield, Ill., is pounding 3.06 kills per set.
Meghan Haggerty, out of Glen Ellyn, Ill., is on the Big Ten's all-freshman team after averaging 1.96 kills per set and hitting .348.
Penn State's Russ Rose was named coach of the year and Ariel Scott of Penn State player of the year.
