A Lincoln police officer wasn't seriously hurt early this morning (Friday) when he was dragged about a block by a man with 3 active arrest warrants. Capt. Jason Stille told KFOR NEWS that the officer stopped 32-year-old Jermaine Dabney at 13th and “D” for not using his turn signal. A quick check found Dabney was wanted for domestic assault, child abuse and 3rd degree assault, so the officer asked Dabney to get out of the car. Instead, Dabney drove off with the officer clinging to the side of the car. About a block later, Dabney ran off, but was captured by other officers. He's now in jail for 8 more offenses, including assaulting an officer and possessing a controlled substance.
