Webinar Gives Vets A Chance To Pursue Rural Careers



Lincoln, NE – The Nebraska Farmers Union and partner organizations are hosting a Farm Training Webinar which will include several virtual farm tours; it’s aimed at U.S. military veterans who are interested in taking up a rural career ore starting up a farm or ranch. The webinar will be held this Friday, November 16th from 7:00-8:30 p.m. CST and focuses on financing and land access options, disability assistance, Farm Service Agency loan programs and other resources for veterans.
The Nebraska Farmers Union reports that almost a million servicemen and servicewomen come from rural backgrounds. The webinar offers a chance for those who have served to find a agricultural career.
