There will be flags in classrooms at Elliott Elementary for Veterans Day. Grand Lodge at the Preserve ensured it. A new state law requires that all students say the Pledge of Allegiance. The senior living community donated enough money to buy flags for ALL Lincoln public schools without one; 145 total. Elliott Elementary received dozens of flags yesterday (Thursday). Principal Mona Manley told our television partner 10/11 NEWS that some students were reciting the Pledge to the wall or exit signs that hung on the wall.
