Niners Take A Romp In The Desert

GLENDALE, Ariz. (AP) - At the halfway point of the NFL season, the San Francisco 49ers are in total command of the NFC West.
The 49ers built a 24-0 lead and coasted past Arizona 24-3, handing the Cardinals their fourth straight loss. The Niners are 6-2 at the halfway mark with a two-game lead over Arizona and Seattle in the NFC West.
Alex Smith threw a pair of touchdown passes to Michael Crabtree and one to Randy Moss on a 47-yard TD strike. Smith completed 18 of 19 passes--that's an NFL record for most completed passes with just one incompletion.
The Niners defense was just as impressive. San Francisco held Arizona to just seven rushing yards. This is the fourth time in the last five games that San Francisco did not allow a touchdown.
