Lincoln Teams Vie For Cross Country Gold Friday

The Nebraska State High School Cross Country championships will run tomorrow (Friday) in Kearney for boys and girls in four classes. Lincoln Southwest is among the favorites to take the boys Class "A" team title. Southwest Coach Ryan Salem sees the meet as a three-team race. Southwest has never won a state title in cross country. The Silver Hawks won boys and girls district championships last week to qualify for the state run. Salem says Lincoln East, Pius & Kearney are the girls' teams to beat in the Class A State Cross Country chase.
