The parents of a Crete High School teen who was allegedly sexually assaulted by 52-year-old Chad Eggebraaten are filing a formal complaint with the state Board of Education. Eggebraaten was allowed to chaperone a field trip after being ordered to stay away from anyone younger than 15 years old. Calling it "poor judgment" Crete Superintendent Kyle McGowan told our television partner 10/11 NEWS that the decision to allow Eggebraaten to go along on the trip was, quote, "not a good choice." The parents of the alleged victim want an apology from Crete High School Principal Tim Conway.
