The University of Nebraska has a new athletic director. Shawn Eichorst, currently the Athletic Director at the University of Miami, signed a five-year contract with UNL last night. Eichorst will make over $900,000 a year at the university. Perlman says Eichorst, who was raised in the Midwest, will bring the right skill set to the table while also upholding Nebraska values. Eichorst resigned from the University of Miami earlier today. He'll report for work at UNL next week as the "Special Assistant to the Chancellor," then take over for Tom Osborne on Jan. 1.
