Nebraska consumes twice as much energy as it generates from its own resources. Malcolm State Senator Ken Haar is bringing nationally known energy expert Ron Binz to Lincoln on Monday. Binz will discuss Nebraska’s ability to generate more energy with resources already here, such as wind power. Nebraska has the 3rd greatest wind power potential of any state, but is far behind neighboring states in development. Senator Haar’s seminar is Monday afternoon in Hardin Hall on the UN-L East Campus.
