The IRS was skeptical of a Nebraska couple when they filed their 2007 tax return asking for a $48 million federal refund. As a result, 61-year-old David Kleensang and 59-year-old Bernita Kleensang of Hay Springs are going to prison for 6 years for tax fraud. The couple hadn't filed a tax return since 2003. They filed in 2007, then didn't file again between 2008 and 2011. The couple argued they didn't have to pay taxes because they were not federal employees and did not live in Washington, D.C.
