Gas Prices Still High; Analyst Hopeful

Gasoline prices in Lincoln today (Tuesday) are 20 cents a gallon higher than a year ago and 19 cents a gallon higher than a month ago. It's almost the highest ever September for pump prices according to GasBuddy.com Senior Petroleum Analyst Patrick DeHaan. DeHaan says the deeper into September we get, the more optimistic he is that high prices will begin to come down slightly. DeHaan still harbors concern that prices won't moderate as much as previously expected as the dollar weakens, leading him to believe 2012 will have featured the highest yearly average ever.
