Beef Products Incorporated plans to file a defamation lawsuit following criticism of a meat product which critics dubbed "pink slime." The Dakota Dunes, South Dakota-based company says is not saying who it's suing. Company officials have long blamed the closure of 3 plants and roughly 700 layoffs in the Midwest on what they viewed as a smear campaign against their safe product.
