A 42 year old Lincoln man is lucky to be alive this morning (Thursday) after being hit by the rearview mirror of a delivery van on Highway 77 near Saltillo Road. Lancaster County Sheriff's Sgt. Derek Horalek tells KFOR NEWS the homeless man is in critical condition with internal bleeding, a broken hip and a broken foot. Sgt. Horalek says the driver of the van told a patrolling deputy he thought he'd hit a deer, but when the deputy checked, it turned out to be a person who'd been struck by the van's passenger rearview mirror.
