Whiteclay Protestors Out of Jail

5 people protesting beer sales in the tiny northern Nebraska town of Whiteclay are out of jail this morning (Tuesday) after being arrested over the weekend for locking their arms and blocking a road. 150-to-200 people walked the 2 miles from Pine Ridge, South Dakota to Whiteclay to protest beer sales in the Nebraska town bordering South Dakota's Pine Ridge Reservation, where alcohol is banned but alcohol abuse is rampant. Some protesters were pepper-sprayed by police when they tried to block a law enforcement vehicle and take an arrested person out of the vehicle.
