Two Arrested In Connection With Summer Bank Robberies



The Lincoln Police Department has made two arrests in connection with two bank robberies that took place in Lincoln earlier this summer.
Fifty-one-year-old Cameron Mitchell of Lincoln was arrested Friday afternoon at a Days Inn motel on West O Street in Lincoln.
Mitchell is suspected of holding up a US Bank back in June and a Union Bank in July.
Outside of Lincoln, Mitchell is suspected in other bank robberies in Omaha and Council Bluffs.
Also arrested, 45 year old Ruth Cecetka of Lincoln.  She's charged with aiding and abetting.
Police said the bank robberies in Lincoln shared certain similarities. They would not reveal exactly how the suspects were tracked down.
